Illinois was once one of the strongest economies in the nation. We are the home of great US Presidents, vibrant cities, farming and manufacturing. Yet, things have changed.
Laws have been passed to allow large corporations to move OUR jobs overseas where they avoid paying taxes and livable wages, allowing ever increasing, multi million dollar compensation packages to their executives and CEO’s. Due to that continued theft, and the cowardice of corporate establishment politicians to do anything about it, the REST OF US in the working class are burdened with OVERTAXATION to keep Illinois running. This has propelled our population decline since 2014 at a rate faster than any other state in the country.
Enough is Enough! We need a return to a sustainable, progressive taxation, where those most able to pay (Large corporations and ultra wealthy) pay their fair share, so the rest of us (Small Business and the Working Class) are not overwhelmed. Illinois has the 5th largest GDP in the country. Unfortunately, the benefits of all we produce, go to the very few on top, while the rest of us fight over the scraps.
Josh Grys does NOT take money from billionaires or large corporations, and thus is not beholden to their interests. Our campaign is grassroots funded ONLY, by working people like YOU, and it is YOUR interests he will represent in Springfield.
